Design of the case handle for Faisst

Product development, design visualization, prototyping.

Faisst has been a specialist in suitcases for over 50 years. As a case manufacturer specializing in high-quality aluminum cases, Faisst has gradually developed and expanded its range over the years, so that today a wide range of aluminum cases is available for every need. The aim of the development of the new Faisst handle was to achieve the integration of an optimal gripping system with a simple design that harmonizes with the Faisst products. From the concept to the prototype.

The new case handle is characterized by its particularly comfortable shape and grip. The design is based on the existing products and the tool can be perfectly adapted to the suitcase thanks to different color variations. With the main theme Mix & Match, the customer can choose which color he would like on the case surfaces, corners, profiles and now additionally on the handles. The "wave" from Faisst was incorporated and thus has an unmistakable unique selling point.

Prototyping

In order to be able to haptically assess the various stages of development, many renderings were visualized and implemented thanks to 3D printing. So you can feel and estimate the proportions in your hand. From rough printing to fine patterns with soft-touch paintwork, the case handle developed into a brand.
