Frequently Asked Questions About Virtual 360° Tours for Hotels
A virtual 360° tour allows guests and sales partners to explore a hotel interactively before they arrive. Tablo combines professional 360° technology with custom design, intuitive navigation and seamless integration into the hotel's digital brand presence.
A virtual hotel tour consists of interconnected 360° panoramas. At each capture point, visitors can look around in every direction and use interactive navigation elements to move to the next room or directly to a selected area.
A custom-designed room overview makes orientation easier. Specific rooms, suites, villas, restaurants or spa areas can, for example, be selected directly and explored in a logical sequence.
A 360° tour communicates scale, room layouts and spatial relationships more clearly than individual photographs. Guests can explore room categories and facilities in greater detail before booking. This provides orientation, builds trust and can support the booking decision.
The tour also offers clear benefits for sales. Sales teams can present hotels, resorts or event spaces in an engaging way and train travel agents, tour operators or event clients regardless of location.
Tablo develops each tour individually for the respective hotel. The user interface, colors, typography, room overview and navigation are tailored to the Corporate Design, architecture and desired guest experience. Atmospheric sounds, music and
interactive hotspots can also be integrated.
Once completed, the hotel receives the finished files and can host the tour itself. This means there are no ongoing hosting or license fees and no permanent dependency on a platform. Renovated rooms or new areas can be added later as required.
Tablo brings together hotel and resort photography, video production, branding, web design and technical development within one team. As a result, the tour is not treated as an isolated add-on, but is aligned from the outset with the visual language, website, brand identity and other communication measures.
From concept and capture through design, programming and post-production to integration into the hotel website, Tablo can manage the entire process. Hotels have one central point of contact and receive a consistent solution from a single source. If desired, Tablo can also support the tour long term with technical adjustments, renovations and extensions.
Tablo produces the panoramas using professional, up-to-date 360° technology and prepares them for high-quality display on smartphones, tablets and desktop devices. Navigation is developed to suit the hotel and can include room overviews, direct
selection, hotspots, multiple languages, atmospheric soundtracks or music.
Links to room pages, offers or the booking flow can also be integrated. Which features make sense is assessed according to the website, the booking system in use and the desired user experience.
Virtual tours are particularly suitable for luxury and boutique hotels, resorts and retreats with different room, suite or villa types. Spa, restaurant, event and outdoor areas, as well as distinctive architecture and extensive grounds, can also be made accessible as an interactive experience.
For Xanadu Luxury Villas & Retreat Zanzibar, Tablo developed a tour covering all villas, gardens and beach areas as well as the spa, restaurant, shop and special places to relax. It is used both by prospective guests and by the sales team for presentations.
At the beginning, the relevant rooms, routes, perspectives and functions are defined. An extensive tour often requires three to four shooting days. Production can take place while the hotel is operating, provided the planned areas are prepared, freely accessible and available under suitable lighting conditions.
A custom-developed 360° hotel tour from Tablo starts at approximately EUR 5,500 net. The exact price depends on the size and layout of the property, the number of panoramas and routes, and the desired functions. Travel and accommodation costs are calculated separately.
Renovated rooms or new areas can be updated individually at a later stage. Such additions can often be combined with a photo or video production so that preparation, travel and production can be bundled efficiently.
